I have a background in education and worked for over 30 years in this sector. Nearly four years ago, I started looking at an alternative career path. I joined a number of MLM business but I soon realised it wasn't for me.  I've been sisterlocked for five years and really wanted to understand more about this natural hair approach. I wanted to do the training but was unable to take the time off work. I finally made the decision to sack the boss and walk away from a promising career and living in the capital. It was the best decision ever. But what next.

I browsed the Sisterlocks website and there and then decided to book myself on the 4 day training course, not in the UK but rather in California. It was a scary moment but I took a leap of faith,  I was in the deep end. Not knowing anyone,  I booked my flight and within a matter of days I was packing my bags and jetting off.  The course was amazing.  I was taught by the founder,  Dr JoAnne Cornwell. It was a honour and a humbling experience. After the training I set about building my business, LockInTyme. LockInTyme was launched in December 2015.  January 2017, I'm a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant with a number of clients on my books.

My business is growing from strength to strength and I'm also the first qualifying consultant in the whole of the North West Region. Who would have thought education adviser to Sisterlocks consultant.  It's never to late to change career paths. I'm happy, contented and have found my purpose. I'm still talking to people on a daily basis, and giving advice is something I naturally do. Connecting with other women and taking them on a rediscovery of their natural hair is like a new "song been written". I love my job, which gives me total satisfaction.
